Our Comprehensive Support Services

Young Families is able to provide full family support services as well as resources and referrals to assist families in accessing community resources for food, clothing, transportation coordination, mental health, nutrition counseling, health care, and other areas of need.

Childcare + Education

Young Families is a center-based child care that provides a safe, nurturing, and developmentally enriching environment that promotes the physical, cognitive, social and emotional growth of infants and toddlers.

Family Support

Young Families is able to provide full family support services as well as resources and referrals to assist families in accessing community resources for food, clothing, transportation coordination, mental health, nutrition counseling, health care, and other areas of need.

Nutrition

We believe in the power of nutritious meals and healthy eating habits, providing families with the knowledge, resources, and support they need to make informed choices and ensure their children receive proper nutrition for their growth and development.

Teen Parent Program

The Young Families Teen Parent Program allows parents to earn high school credit for attending on-site child and parent development classes. The curriculum includes prenatal information, human growth and development, parent education, healthy relationships, and life skills. Parents have opportunities to participate in activities designed specifically for themselves and their children.

health + Wellness Services

YFEHS offers opportunities to identify health concerns early through health screenings, parent education, and access to a variety of community resources. We work closely with each family to ensure their child’s health and wellness, and provide appropriate referrals (if necessary).

Parent Education Classes

We offer parent education classes that cover a wide range of topics, from child development and positive discipline techniques to effective communication and self-care, equipping parents with the knowledge and skills necessary to navigate the challenges and joys of parenting.

Prenatal Education Program

YFEHS provides prenatal education classes to pregnant women of all ages, and also meets regularly with prenatals to assist in accessing comprehensive prenatal and post-partum care.

Opportunity for Parent Leadership

We provide opportunities for parents to become leaders in the community by participating in leadership development programs, empowering them to advocate for themselves and their families, and inspiring positive change in their lives and the lives of others.
